Athletics Overview

Bethany Community School believes that athletics is an extension of the classroom and a great place to learn about leadership and interpersonal skills. BCS competes as a member of the Northwest Piedmont 1A Conference of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association and the Central Carolina Conference for middle school.

Our student-athletes are held to a higher standard of character, behavior, and classroom performance than the general student body. While minimum standards may be set by the athletic department handbook, coaches and athletic administrators have the authority to impose sanctions on student-athletes who are not representing Bethany with the highest possible standards.

Participation in athletics is a privilege, not a right. Student-athletes are selected based on ability and contribution to the team.

Eligibility and participation rules are set by the various governing bodies that oversee middle and high school sports. Be sure to review the eligibility requirements prior to registering to play.
